Isola Pescatori, also known as Isola Superiore, is situated on Lake Maggiore, a large lake below the alps and 50km north of Milan. The island is close to the towns of Stresa and Baveno in the central part of Lake Maggiore. This part of the lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides:

Getting there 

Isola Pescatori can easily be reached from the mainland towns of Stresa and Baveno using either the Navigazione Lago Maggiore public boat service or the taxi boats available from either Stresa or Baveno with Stresatours, Laketours . Boats take between 10 and 15 minutes to reach the island depending on the town you depart from. If you plan to come by plane it is a 50 minute drive from Malpensa (MXP) airport.

Weather and climate

The weather on the lake is generally mild: not too cold in winter nor too hot in summer. It has a similar climate to the Mediterranean Riviera.
